Each time I lead a tour to one of Compassion’s field countries, I take child packs with me. These are children in the very projects we will be visiting that don’t have a sponsor. The idea is that the Advocate will have first hand knowledge of the project, meet the Project Director and if, we are lucky, may even have an opportunity to have their picture taken with the children so that when they are trying to find a sponsor for this little one, they can tell the story of how they met them, and give a very detailed account of the project this unsponsored child attends.
What blew me away during this tour was that the 10 Advocates who traveled with me sponsored 12 new children themselves on this tour – how incredible is that!!!!!! 12 additional children found sponsors last week. I was able to witness the project staff tell them that they had a sponsor and that their sponsor was HERE!!!!! As you can imagine, tears flowed and smiles adorned their faces!!!! God is good and I am so proud to have been leading such an amazing group of Canadian Advocates.

Hey Tracy…. great to read this blog and how encouraging to hear about the sponsorships. I was really blessed and blown away by the advocates I was able to meet out West on the weekend. It was humbling to see them serve so enthusiastically and be passionate about these children. Looking forward to seeing you soon. TS
How wonderful for those children! I saw Amy’s precious little guy – so heartbreaking to think of that poor angel waiting 17 months for a sponsor! I fell in love with a little girl at Alive Inside. She caught my eye while we were setting up because she was a priority child and she lived with her Grandma. I kept coming back to her throughout the afternoon, picking the package up and praying to find a sponsor for her. She was the first child I handed out when the call came but somehow, she ended up back on the table. I’m thinking perhaps they wanted a boy, as it was a man and his teenage son. As the people looked through the pictures, I put her in a prominent place, along with the other priority children but at the end, as we were packing up, she was still there and I knew that I wanted to sponsor her. Dan and Deb also found two priority children to sponsor.
I hope Wilson, Daniel and Karen find sponsors soon!
